At the opening of the Celtic Revival Summer School “Ceangal Dhá Chultúr” which was held in Christ Church Cathedral and at Áras Éanna on Inis Mór are Aonghus Dwane, Director of the Summer School and Áras Éanna, Senator Martin Mansergh who gave the opening talk at the school and the Dean of Christ Church Cathedral, the Very Revd Desmond Harman.

The Revd Dr Alan McCormack, Chaplain of Trinity College Dublin, shares a joke with Patrice Keegan (Organ Scholar) and Sheila Frost (Conductor of Chapel Choir) during a party given at the Villa Spada in Rome by HE Philip McDonagh, Ambassador of Ireland to the Holy See. The Chapel Choir has just returned from a highly successful tour of the city, singing at a number of churches and holding the first concert in the newly restored Villa.

TCD students Roisin Rowley Brooke and Graham Ruddle, the Dublin University Far Eastern Mission's two young 'ambassadors' in China this summer, are seen here representing the mission at a diplomatic reception in Shanghai. In the background is the dramatic skyline of this most modern of cities. Graham and Roisin are currently on volunteer Christian work with the YMCA in Shanghai.
