NEW SECRETARY OF GUILD OF LAY READERS

Warm tributes were paid to Blair Halliday for his many years as honorary secretary of the Guild of Lay Readers at the Guild’s Annual General Meeting on Monday 20 May 2002. Joan Kirk of Taney Parish was elected to succeed him. As a token of appreciation Blair received a presentation from the members.

A presentation was also made to the Archbishop, Dr Walton Empey, who is retiring in July.
