ANGLICAN-LUTHERAN
CONFERENCE PLANNED IN DUBLIN FOR SEPTEMBER
A major conference of Anglicans
and Lutherans entitled "Aspects of Reconciliation"
will take place in All Hallows Dublin from 4pm
on Friday 7 September to 10am on Tuesday 11 September.
The conference has been organised
by the Anglican-Lutheran Society and will feature
a number of international speakers including Mrs
Gillian Kingston of the Irish Council of Churches,
Professor Paul Leer-Salvesen from the Agder University
College in Norway, Dr Johnston McMaster and Dr
David Toombs of the Irish School of Ecumenics,
Dr Michael Trice of the Evangelical Lutheran Church
of America and Canon Flora Winfield of Churches
Together in Britain and Ireland.
The Anglican-Lutheran Society
holds International Conferences every year, alternating
between Europe and North America. The 2007 Conference
will be the first in recent years to be held in
Ireland.
