DIOCESAN INTER-PARISH HOCKEY TOURNAMENT SET FOR SEPTEMBER

The ever-popular Diocesan Inter-Parish Hockey Tournament will take place in St Andrew’s College, Booterstown Avenue, Blackrock, County Dublin on Sunday 9 September from 1.30pm.

As in previous years, the tournament is designed to be a fun, family-orientated event for the enjoyment of those who’ve played hockey in the past or just want to give it a try. The organizers insist that “Fitness and ability is not a requirement for this tournament, just a sense of humour and courage!!!” Teams are encouraged to bring along a picnic and as many supporters as they wish to add to the atmosphere.

The parishes will be competing for the Archbishop’s Cup (Current Holders: Rathmichael).

The event has been organized by the Revd Anne Taylor, Curate of Rathfarnham and the Revd Gillian Wharton, Rector of Booterstown. Forms, Rules and a letter from the organisers are available here (downloadable files). Please return completed forms by 31 August 2007.
