CANON VICTOR STACEY APPOINTED RURAL DEAN OF MONKSTOWN

It was announced today that the Archbishop of Dublin, the Most Revd Dr John Neill has appointed the Revd Canon Victor Stacey, Rector of Dun Laoghaire to be also Rural Dean of Monkstown.

The Monkstown Rural Deanery consists of the parishes of Monkstown, Dalkey, Dun Laoghaire, Booterstown and Mount Merrion, Glenageary, Kill o’the Grange and Stillorgan with Blackrock. Among the responsibilities of a Rural Dean is the care of any parishes in the Deanery that are vacant.

The Revd Canon Victor Stacey, who is also Provincial and Diocesan Registrar, succeeds the Revd Kevin Dalton who retired as Rural Dean in the lead up to his retirement as Rector of Monkstown on September 30.
