DUBLIN AND GLENDALOUGH
DIOCESAN SYNOD, 16 & 17 OCTOBER 2007
The Dublin and Glendalough Diocesan
Synod will be taking place in Taney Parish Centre,
Dundrum on Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 October
2007. The Synod will be preceded by a service
of Holy Communion in Christ Church, Taney at 4pm
on Tuesday 16 October. The main business of the
Synod will begin at 5pm on each of the two days.
At about 5:15pm on Tuesday 16
October 2007, the Archbishop of Dublin, the Most
Revd Dr John Neill will deliver his presidential
address.
Following the Archbishop’s
address the Synod will debate reports on Education,
Mission, Youth Ministry, and Social Issues.
Almost 400 people, comprising
about 100 serving clergy and 300 elected lay people,
are entitled to attend.
